Now, in 2015, Microsoft has introduced the second generation of the Band. While the company has completely overhauled the design, the device is still a fitness tracker overall and can be your companion during a golf game or some other sports activities. If you are coming back home from an exhausting exercise you might want to charge your wearable again in order to be prepared for the next one. Currently, the only way you can do this is by having it lying on your desk somewhere connected to your magnetic charging cable, which does look a bit unattractive, at least to me. However, Microsoft has now released a charging stand, which is available through its online store that can give your Microsoft Band a better look while charging. The charging stand is currently available for $19.99 through the Microsoft Online Store and most of the Microsoft Stores in the US should have this new gadget available for purchase. Though be aware of the fact that there will not be another magnetic charging cable included with the stand. In order to use this gadget you will have to use the cable which has been shipped with your Microsoft Band 2 or buy another one. Thus far there is one review in the Microsoft Online Store about the Charging Stand:
“The charging stand is very well designed and looked gorgeous! It is also very sturdy and functional. There are no charging stands in the market that look like this!” Having said that, the charging stand is a very nice gadget, which Microsoft has released for its latest fitness tracker and at a price point of $19.99, it isn’t that expensive either.
