During the earnings call, Su noted “[…]with the Windows 10 launch at the end of July, we are watching sort of the impact of that on the back-to-school season, and expect that it might have a bit of a delay to the normal back-to-school season inventory build-up.” Although, AMD’s Windows 10 release date is likely accurate, the information shouldn’t come to a surprise as Microsoft has previously announced that Windows 10 will ship this summer in 190 countries and 111 languages. However, what we didn’t have up until now was a more specific release date. There could be a chance of the information to be inaccurate, but we have to consider that processor makers such as AMD and Intel are big companies that play a big role on the development of the operating system. After all, Windows 10 will be running on their hardware. As such, they are companies well informed on the software giant’s plan. Currently the software maker is entering in the final testing stages and we’re getting pretty close see a version of Windows 10 RTM.
