Today, according to sources familiar to the plan reveal that indeed Microsoft is targeting July as a potential launch date. The Verge claims the date to mark in the calendar is July 29th, as it was one of the original date planned for launch, and the software maker is working to finalize Windows 10 RTM by the end of June. Furthermore, Russian leaker WZor, a person known to leak creditable Microsoft information, claimed early this week that the Windows 10 launch is confirmed for July 2015. The million dollar question still remains whether the operating system will be ready on time for the July target date. We have seen a number of preview builds of Windows 10, but the code seems not to be ready for prime time. There a number of bugs that Microsoft still needs to get fixed before the final code is pushed. Internally, the company is close to complete Windows 10, the features a locked and the engineers are only focus on fixing bugs instead of incorporating more features. This is going to be an special release as Microsoft not only will make Windows 10 a free upgrade for Windows 7 and Windows 8 users, but the upgrade process will also be different, as the company will now be offering Windows as a Service, which basically means that after the launch, Microsoft will continue to push updates and features as they become ready, instead a making big releases. Some of the features, like the Microsoft Edge extension support and the new messaging app won’t be ready for July launch, but they will be available for Windows 10 later in the year.
