However, Microsoft explains that build 10136 isn’t completely ready, there is one bug that causes the upgrade to fail for users upgrading from Windows 10 Mobile build 10080, as such the company is only offering the new build for phones running Windows Phone 8.1 and have configured to receive new builds from the Fast ring of updates. The software maker advise any Windows Insider that wants to try the new build to roll back to Windows Phone 8.1 using the Windows Phone Recovery Tool first. Then users can download the Windows Insider app from the Windows Phone Store and configure the phone to the Fast ring of updates again. “This is required because of a migration bug affecting upgrades from 10080 to this build so we are not supporting that upgrade path.” Microsoft explains. Of course, if you’re already running Windows Phone 8.1, simply install the Windows Insider app, register as an Insider, and configure the phone to receive new builds via the Fast ring. In addition, Microsoft says that it’s supper important to note that after the upgrade is done, the Lock screen will appear frozen without date or time. The workaround is to simply wait for about 10 minutes until you see the time and date again, then you can unlock your phone.

Here is what has been fixed in Windows 10 Mobile build 10136 since build 10080
(Fixed) MMS bug in Build 10080, and you should receive MMS messages normally. (Fixed) Issue where touch will stop responding on the Lock screen preventing you from swiping up to unlock your phone. (Fixed) Some visual glitches in Action Center when expanding/collapsing. (Fixed) Issue where the text in the People app was too small. When you toggle the Wi-Fi quick action in Action Center, it now disables/enables Wi-Fi instead of taking you to the Wi-Fi Settings page. This was one of the top 5 pieces of feedback we heard from Windows Insiders. Your Start screen background should be scaled correctly now. You can add a detailed status to display on your Lock screen from apps like Outlook Calendar without having the Settings app crash. (Fixed) Issue where a mouse cursor would appear when pressing the back button on your phone.
