In the new build of the next generation of Windows 10, Microsoft continues to introduce new features, changes to the UI, and various improvements. Perhaps, the most noticeable change is Microsoft bringing back some of the Aero Glass elements, so now users will see a new blur effect in the Start menu and taskbar. In Windows 10 build 10074, Microsoft has changed the watermark label “Technical Preview” in favor of “Insider Preview”, which the company says is to reflect the importance of the community helping to make Windows 10. Among many of the subtle changes, Microsoft is including a number of tweaks in the user-interface, it’s improving support for high DPI displays, so now users can run two monitors with different DPI settings. Cortana for the desktop receives a new visual refresh making the experience more integrated within Windows and the Start menu. When launching the digital assistant users will notice a new left pane with quick access to the main Cortana functionality, such as Notebook, Reminders, Places, Music, Settings and more. In addition, Microsoft is updating Cortana responses when typing questions like:

The Music Preview and Video Preview apps have been updated. Microsoft is including a better Now Playing full screen experience, and Video Preview gets a bunch of tweaks to allow users to download videos, check progress, resume, and cancel downloads. Users can also download, delete, and re-download videos unlimited number of times. Also, closed captioning for purchased videos now actually works. In the Windows Store (beta) Xbox Live games and in-app purchase should work. Apps that have been purchased on Windows 8.1 should appear in the Store beta as apps you own. Microsoft is expanding the Store to over 49 new markets. Microsoft is also adding new features to the Lock screen with a new feature called “Windows Spotlight” to help users learn more about Windows 10, discover new apps, and the ability to show new Lock wallpapers every time you reboot the computer. Finally, the software maker is fixing the following issues with build 10074:
