However, the company is making it easier for users to submit requests for verification. The company is rolling out the application process immediately in the United States, and other countries will follow in the coming days. It’s important to note that even though Twitter is streamlining the verification process the requirements to get the blue badge isn’t changing. Before you request your account for verification, you must make sure your account is of public interest, and it meets the following requirements.
Requirements to request verification
According to Twitter, you can submit the online verification form if your account has the following:
Verified phone number Confirmed email address Bio Profile picture Header picture Birthday (not a requirement for companies or brands) Link to a website Tweets are set to public
Things Twitter looks in an account
Name of person must reflect the real or stage name of the person. If it’s a company, the name must reflect the name of the company. Profile and header pictures must reflect the person or branding. If the Twitter account is a company account, the email address must be associated with the account of the company email address.

During the verification process, Twitter may ask you to provide some additional information that can help the company consider your request. If this is your case, Twitter will ask you:
Why should Twitter verify your account. If you have a personal account, the company wants to know the impact your account brings to the field. If it’s a company account, you need to tell Twitter your company’s mission. When submitting URLs that support your request, choose the site that makes you or your company stand out from the crowd. You may be also asked to scan and upload a copy of a government-issued ID, such as driver’s license or passport, to confirm your identity.
How to submit a Twitter request to verify your account
Once you met all the requirements, you can fill out this online form, and Twitter will respond to your request via email. Twitter will let you know whether they approved or denied your request.
