Like any rumor, you should take this with a grain of salt, Microsoft still has to officially announce the release date. But Paul information on rumors about the company has pretty much been accurate this far, thanks to his close connections with people inside of Microsoft.
— Paul Thurrott (@thurrott) June 7, 2013 If the first day of August end up being the official date, the software giant will ship Windows 8.1 just a few weeks after the public Preview, which will be available in June 26th, during the BUILD conference. This means that the company will only have a few weeks to workout any remain bugs and compile the final build. Although, this seems to be a short time to complete the job, Microsoft has already demoed its latest build at Tech Ed and Computex 2013, and the operating system seems to be in good shape. We are also still 19 days away from the release of Windows 8.1 Preview, so there is a good chance that Microsoft will reveal more information then.
