Surface Laptop
Microsoft finally made a traditional clamshell laptop, and it’s called Surface Laptop. The new device is absolutely gorgeous featuring a sleek and compact design using premium materials. It has aluminum finish all around its body with a full-size keyboard covered with Alcantara fabric, which is the same material found in the Surface Pro Type Cover. Surface Laptop comes with Windows 10 S, which is a new variant of Windows 10 Pro with the only difference that it’s designed to run only Windows Store apps to keep the device free of malware or non-legit software and running at top performance. The new Microsoft Surface is a 13.5-inch device with the productivity of a 14-inch laptop. It runs Intel’s latest seventh-generation Kaby Lake processors, and it offers up to 14.5-hours of battery life. You can check the full tech specs and other details here. The Surface Laptop is also available in four different colors, including burgundy, platinum, cobalt blue, and graphite gold, and pricing starts at $999.

Surface Pro
The Surface Pro is the predecessor to the Surface Pro 4, but as you can see it’s not called the Surface Pro 5, as Microsoft is dropping the numbering on the name. The Surface Pro (2017) feels more like a refresh than a new device, but the new model offers over 800 new custom parts. The new tablet is lighter and thinner than the previous model with rounded edges. It’s also 2.5 times faster than the Surface Pro 3. The two more noticeable changes with this new Surface Pro is that now comes with Intel’s latest seventh-generation kaby Lake processor, and this allows the Core m3 and Core i5 models to be completely fanless. The second noticeable change is battery life. In this new version, you can expect up to 13.5-hours of battery with a single charge, unlike the 9 hours with the Surface Pro 4. You can check the full tech specs and other details here. Alongside the traditional basic black ($129), this time around, you can get the Type Cover in three additional colors, including platinum, burgundy, and cobalt blue, but they’re sold separately for $159. The Surface Pen has also been updated with support for 4096 points of pressure sensitivity, and other minor tweaks, and it’s now also sold separately for $99. The new Microsoft Surface Pro is available now and pricing starts at $799 for the base model.
