Installing GooReader 2 is pretty simple, just note that GooReader works on Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7. And you must have installed .Net Framework 3.5 SP1. Now, launch GooReader 2 and to search for ebooks, click Search from the menu, then type a keyword in the search box and hit enter.
To add a new ebook to your collection from Google Books, hover with the mouse over the ebook you are interested and click add to library button.
When you are done finding and adding ebooks, and you want to view all your ebook collection, click Library from the menu. Adding your own books is pretty easy too. Click the Add book button from the toolbar, browse the file and click Open, that is it!
Remember that you can also save your books in PDF file format, but you will have to pay for the full version.
GooReader 2 – Options You can control the amount of ebooks to show for each search, PDF resolution, page width, and proxy settings.
GooReader 2 – Reading a book. To conclude, I would like to say that I’m not quite satisfied with how a new window will open up to display the ebook, instead of showing it inside the program like nook from Barnes & Noble and Blio eReader, with GooReader 2 you are able to save and return to the page where you left off, but if you try to bookmark a particular page this is not supported, besides, the book menu can be a little confusing at first for some people. But over all GooReader 2 looks great, performance well, you can read ebooks in full color, you have access to thousands of free books from Google Books, and you can continue reading a book offline. Also, I think that is important to mention that you can also add your own PDF ebooks, but you cannot save Google Books to PDF with the free version.
