The images of the upcoming “Surface Pro” were leaked by Twitter’s @evleaks, who is known to leak accurate information on Microsoft products. In the leaked images, it’s clear that Microsoft decided to keep virtually the same design as the Surface Pro 4, but with just a few minor changes. For example, the new “Surface Pro” (which shouldn’t be referred as “Surface Pro 5”) will receive new internals, including Intel’s latest 7th-Gen Kady Lake processors. The images also show that it’ll continue to include the same power connector, Mini DisplayPort, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-A port, and no surprising, you won’t find a USB Type-C port, even though it’s pretty much standard on many devices. According to @evleaks, the new device will have a new Pen and Type Cover colors options that in a way match the new colors offered in the new Surface Laptop. Microsoft is expected to officially unveil the new Surface Pro during its hardware event on May 23rd, in China, but it’s unlikely that we’ll see a new Surface Book. Furthermore, along with the tablet, the software maker is expected to launch the HoloLens in that region during the same event.
