According to several rendering images, which are believed accurate, the Microsoft Band 2 design looks more attractive than the previous version. The fitness tracker currently known with the “Envoy” codename features a curved display, metallic finish on the sides of the display, and two buttons on the side, but the overall design is much more elegant. The curved display is a very welcome addition and it makes the Microsoft Band 2 more ergonomic and comfortable to wear than the first generation.
While we don’t have any official details coming from Microsoft itself, according to the rendering images, it appears that the battery is located at the bottom of the display, just like on a regular watch, and not on the side like we have seen in the generation of the Band. As stated by to the Spanish site, the Microsoft Band 2 “Envoy” will feature all the same sensors already present in the first generation, in addition to the ability to detect “height and measure physical exercise when going up and down stairs”.
