If you were waiting for new features this is not your update, but it recommend that you make the update to Service Pack 1 as soon as you get a chance. This SP1 release brings better support by delivering ongoing updates, which many of them have already been made available in Windows Updates in past. But Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 seems to be the one that is going to bring some new features like: Dynamic Memory, which enables servers running Hyper-V for server virtualization to adjust dynamically Virtual Machine memory usage based on demand, making the server more efficient, and RemoteFX, which allows to deliver a local like experience for remote users through Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and also Windows updates previously made available.
