The new device offers the right combination of mobility, durability, and security. It’s a 12-inch tablet featuring a 1920×1080-pixel screen resolution, it runs Intel’s 7th Gen processors up to a Core i7 with Intel’s Graphics 615, up to 8GB of memory, and fingerprint reader for Windows Hello. HP claims up to 11 hours of battery life on a single charge, and it can quickly charge up to 50 percent in 30 minutes. Unlike its predecessor, the new HP Pro X2 trims the weight by 25 percent, and adds a kickstand that can fold back up to 165-degree angle. Perhaps the biggest feature of the HP Pro X2 is that it’s upgradable. You can quickly pop the back panel open and replace a number of components.

It also sports a full-sized keyboard with a precision trackpad that connects magnetically, just like the Surface Type Cover. The keyboard even features collaboration buttons, including a “Present” button to quickly connect to a secondary screen. HP’s Pro X2 also comes with a Wacom Active Pen that you can use with Windows Ink to draw or take notes, and you can store it in the pen loop included with the keyboard. The HP Pro X2 612 G2 with keyboard is available now, and pricing starts at $979 for the Core m3 processor and 4GB of memory, while the Core i5 with 8GB of memory starts at $1399. HP has even an optional ruggedized case with its own kickstand that makes it a great device to tough environments.
