Firefox Keyboard Shortcuts
Navigation
Alt+Home – Takes you to home page. Alt+Left – Moves back through your history. Alt+Right – Moves forward through your history. F5 or Ctrl+R – Page refresh. Ctrl+F5 – Refreshes the current page but it also override cache. Esc – Stop loading the current page. Alt – Brings the old Menu Bar back.
Bookmarks, History & Tools
Ctrl+Shift+B – Show all Bookmarks. Ctrl+I – Show all bookmarks in the left side. Ctrl+D – Bookmark the current page. Ctrl+Shift+D – Bookmark all Tabs. Ctrl+Shift+H – Show all history. Ctrl+Shift+Del – Deletes recent history. Ctrl+Shift+T – Restores recently closed Tabs. Ctrl+Shit+N – Restores recently closed windows. Ctrl+Shift+A – Opens Firefox’s Add-ons manager. Ctrl+J – Display downloads. Ctrl+Shift+P – Starts a new window for Private Browsing. Ctrl+Shift+J – Opens the Error Console. Ctrl+/ – Opens the Add-on Bar.
Working with Tabs & Windows
Ctrl+Shift+E – Opens the new Firefox 4 Tab Groups. Ctrl+W or Ctrl+F4 – Close current Tab. Ctrl+T – Opens a new Tab. Ctrl+N – Opens a new window. Ctrl+Shift+W or Alt+F4 – Close current window. Ctrl+Tab – Move between Tabs (moving right). Ctrl+Shift+Tab – Move the previous Tab (moving left). Ctrl+Shift+T – Undo a close Tab. Ctrl+1 to 8 – Select a Tab 1 to 8. Ctrl+9 – Selects the last Tab.
In Current Page
Home – Takes you to the top of the page. End – Takes you to the bottom of the page. Ctrl + – Zoom In. Ctrl – – Zoom Out. Ctrl + 0 – Resets the Zoom. F6 – Navigate between frames. Shift+F6 – Navigate to previous frames. Ctrl+P – Prepare the current page to print. Ctrl+U – View the page source.
Using Firefox Search
Ctrl+F – Open the find box to do a search. F3 or Ctrl+G – Find next. Shift+F3 – Find previous. ‘ – Find as you type the link. / – Find as you type the text. Ctrl+K – Search bar.
Firefox Mouse Shortcuts
Ctrl+Scroll down – Zoom In. Ctrl+Scroll up – Zoom Out. Middle-click on a Tab – Close a Tab. Double-click on Tab Bar – Opens a new Tab (In Firefox 4 only when displaying the old Menu Bar). Shift+Scroll down – Go back. Shift+ Scroll up – Go forward. Alt+Scroll – Scroll a page line by line. Ctrl+Drag – Copy Tab or Bookmark. Alt+Left-click – Save Page As. Shift+Left-click – Open link in a new window. Ctrl+Left-click – Open link in a new Tab.
