The software giant has built a new preferences section in Control Panel called — you guessed it — Languages that will be the “one-stop” place to find, set and download all the supported languages in Windows 8. The goal and the benefit is that Windows 8 users with the need to install additional languages will not have to jump around websites, Microsoft Download Center or Windows Update in order to get a language pack....

Office 2016 will feature touch-optimized versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook. All the apps are universal, as such they will run across all the range of Windows 10 devices, including on small screen devices such as phone and tablet, traditional PC, all the way to the brand new Microsoft Surface Hub. Basically Office Lens for Windows Phone enables you to use the camera in your smartphone to transcribe text from photos, for example, whiteboards, business cards and printed documents. Photos that are saved automatically to OneNote for later access. Microsoft is focusing Office Lens for three main modes: whiteboard, document, and photo. First, in whiteboard, Lens will make the photo more readable, trims and fixes glare, shadows, angles. Second, in document the Windows Phone app basically fixes the same things as whiteboard, but optimized for documents....

The operation is just like if you were using a scanner, with difference that it conveniently save the image to any section you assign in OneNote, you can even convert the image into a Word document for easy editing and the app can also save the image as PDF file. Starting today, handwriting for OneNote is finally available on iPad, Windows, and Android. Getting started is simple; make sure the OneNote for iPad is updated, now you’ll see a new Draw tab in the ribbon. Tap it, select a pen, maker, or highlighter, and start writing or sketching. Best of all is that handwriting works with any stylus and OneNote for iPad and supports Palm Rejection technology. This kind of backup has two purposes: One makes a system and files backup in case you accidentally modified or deleted them, or simply they were damaged. The second one allows data not to change while a backup is being done. Acer showed of its new Spin 1 productivity and the Nitro 5 gaming laptops, and Dell unveiled a new affordable Inspiron All-in-One desktop, and the first-ever Inspiron gaming PC with support for virtual reality. Microsoft was also part of Computex unveiled a lineup of partners that are working to bring Windows 10 PCs running ARM processors. Microsoft confirms that starting with the version 1703, Windows 10 no longer supports Intel’s Atom processors, but the company promises security updates for several years. The Microsoft Store reveals that soon customers will be able to get a Core i7 Surface Laptop in three additional colors. Recently, it was reported that Microsoft was going to change the name of the next Windows 10 release to “Autumn Creators Update” in some countries, but soon after the company confirmed that the new version will be known as the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update everywhere....

Windows 10 build 14986 rolled out to Insiders with PCs enrolled in the Fast ring. The new test preview part of the Creators Update adds various new enhancements to Cortana, such as the ability to turn off your computer using voice commands, and the assistant also gets a new full-screen mode. Build 14986 introduces a new Windows Defender dashboard, and a lot more.
