The release happens only weeks after the company made available to the public the preview of Office for Android phones. The Office apps are now available for download from Google Play and they offer the same touch-first capability as the Office apps are already available for Android tablets. While they bundle a number of features, they still mobile apps and they aren’t to replace the desktop versions. The original Surface Pro X came only in black with a black Type Cover, but according to the report, Microsoft is planning to also include a new model in platinum, similar to the Surface Pro 7 and other Surfaces based on the Intel processors, and they’re expected to ship with new Type cover colors. Aside from the SQ2 processor and color updates, it’s unclear what other changes Microsoft is working on introducing with the hardware refresh for the Pro X....
Also, a recently leaked internal document revealed that the Xbox Series X devkit (codenamed “Dante”) has an option to enable a special mode to test games locking the performance that Microsoft wants to obtain with this second model, codenamed “Lockhart” further confirming the existence of the console. The Verge also claims that the Xbox Series S console will have the same processor speed as the Xbox Series X, but the “S” model will only ship with 7....
“This update includes non–security-related changes to enhance the functionality of Windows 10 through new features and improvements.” The KB support article explains. “Windows 10 updates are cumulative. Therefore, this package contains all previously-released fixes (see KB 3074683). If you have installed previous updates, only the new fixes that are contained in this package will be downloaded and installed to your computer.” The announcement was made by Gabriel Aul, head of the Windows Insider Program on Twitter, who also said that the update is not the Windows 10 Service Release 1, which we’re expecting to roll out in the coming days....

The new menu continues to follow the same design as the one you see today on Windows 10, but it’s visually different. According to the company, the menu tracissions from a “chaotic color” to something more uniform. You’re still getting tiles, but Microsoft will be reducing the color of blocks to match the menu color scheme and uses traditional icons designs that should help to make easier to scan and find an app quickly....
The Microsoft Whiteboard as the name implies, it’s an unlimited digital canvas that allows users to create and collaborate using digital ink in person and remotely, and across devices. Using this app, you can ink on images, create mockups, and use notes in the digital canvas. The app is free and anyone can download it on a Windows 10 PC, but in order to collaborate with other people at least one person in the group must be signed in using an active Office 365 subscription....
As you may already have experienced the new Windows 8 apps (also often referred to as “Modern apps”, “Windows Store Apps” or “Metro style apps”) only run full-screen or snapped on either side of the display, and there aren’t any options to minimize, maximize or close, like traditional Windows applications do. This new Microsoft approach perhaps is in the right direction, but thus far it makes more sense in a touch-enabled PC than with a keyboard and mouse....
However, sometimes, either there will a problem downloading the correct drivers that being for the discrete NVIDIA GeForce or Intel’s graphics, wireless adapter, etc., or they might not be the most up to date drivers. If things aren’t working correctly with your Surface Pro 4 or Surface Book, you can resource to use the reset feature to reinstall Windows 10, but it could take more time and the solution could just be as easy as reinstalling the drivers....
The new change (via XDA Developers) means that after January 1, the OneDrive application will no longer be available for download, and devices running a retired version of Windows will no longer sync files to the cloud after March 1, 2022. However, it’s not all bad news because you will still be able to access your files and upload new content from the web version of OneDrive. While it’s not surprising this would happen on devices running Windows 7 since this version is no longer supported, it’s interesting to see Microsoft shutting down OneDrive for Windows 8....
The problem was that many users didn’t really understand how the feature worked. This resulted on a lot of users not knowing how to access their files offline. Unfortunately, to prevent further confusion, Microsoft removed the feature in the early days of Windows 10. After much requests from numerous feedback, Microsoft has announced during its Ignite technology conference that the feature is returning. However, instead of calling placeholders, the feature will be called On-Demand Sync....

Previously, users could store GIF files, but they weren’t animated when saved or shared. In this new batch of updates, the software giant is finally allowing GIF files to be animated. Microsoft is also adding other improvements, such as an option to rotate photos in SkyDrive.com. It’s changing sharing controls in documents and folder to let users select multiple photos from different folder and share them, instead of having to share each image individually....
